Description

Hamburg Weekly – Your Thursday on VATSIM Every Thursday from 19:30 to 22:00 local time (17:30z–20:00z), it’s time to say “Welcome” or “Farewell” at Hamburg Airport (EDDH)! For this special evening, Hamburg goes all out — with full ATC coverage and a bustling airport environment that’s sure to excite every VATSIM pilot. Whether you’re arriving from Munich, Frankfurt, or Copenhagen, touching down with a regional jet over the Elbe, or departing southbound on a holiday charter, Hamburg is always busy — and that’s exactly what makes it so appealing. Expect dense traffic, professional ATC, and that signature Hanseatic calm — all while staying sharp and in control. But Hamburg is more than just an airport — it’s the Gateway to the World. With views of the harbor cranes, the Elbphilharmonie, and the Alster River, the airspace around Hamburg offers plenty of variety — ideal for all types of IFR operations, but also perfect for scenic VFR flights over the city. So grab your charts, fuel up, and set your course — whether you're heading to Hamburg or launching out into the world. Thursdays are Hamburg days!
