Leave the glideslope behind and put your flying skills to the test! On Saturday, 29 August 2026, vatger will provide dedicated radar approach service at Laage from 1600 to 2000 UTC. Throughout the event, pilots can request Precision Approach Radar approaches and experience a landing procedure based on direct cooperation between the cockpit and the controller. Once established with Laage Precision, expect frequent instructions to adjust your heading and rate of descent. Your position will be monitored continuously while the controller talks you toward the runway. Accuracy matters, so stay focused, respond promptly and be prepared to hand-fly every correction. Bring the aircraft you enjoy most. Fast military jets, tactical transports and heavy passenger aircraft are all welcome to take part.Challenge yourself, trust the controller and discover a completely different way of reaching the runway.
