It's time to shoot up north and stir our controllers into a panic! That's right, it's Panic Stations time! VATPAC invites you to the next Panic Stations series up in the Far North. Prizes (and bragging rights) are up for grabs courtesy of our sponsor Impulse Simulations.
The aim of Panic Stations is simple; get as many aircraft flying into the destination as possible with one objective, be the first person to arrive at Cairns at or after one of the arrival times, for your chance to score bragging rights and win a prize!
The touchdown times are 0730z and 0900z.
Note: Pilots must depart from an aerodrome more than 50 nautical miles from Cairns to be eligible to win any prizes.
We recommend you bring some extra fuel as controllers will be busy trying to accommodate the vast number of pilots while maintaining separation standards.

A flight participates when a detected departure or arrival is recorded at one of the event airports inside the inclusive event window shown above. Detected movements use stable takeoff and landing transitions and are assigned only to a nearby airport. Headline departure and arrival figures count movements, while flights and pilots are counted uniquely. A flight that departs near the end of the window and lands afterwards counts as a departure only, because its arrival happened outside the window.
