Where the hills of Vladivostok descend toward the sea and the endless lights of Greater Seoul stretch along the coast, two iconic symbols of the Far East meet in one shared sky.
The Amur Tiger — a symbol of strength, wilderness, Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai, and the Russian Far East — meets Kkachi, the Korean magpie, a traditional messenger of good news and one of the most recognizable figures in Korean folk culture.
The name Tiger Meets Kkachi is inspired by the traditional Korean Kkachi Horangi motif — “Magpie and Tiger.” This time, however, their meeting takes place not beneath a pine tree in an old folk painting, but in the virtual skies between Vladivostok and Seoul.
Pilots are invited to fly between Vladivostok International Airport (UHWW) and Incheon International Airport (RKSI), the main international gateway to the Republic of Korea.
As evening falls, the event will offer a unique opportunity to enjoy the spectacular city lights of Vladivostok and Greater Seoul from the air — glowing bridges, coastlines, illuminated districts, and two very different yet equally impressive cities beneath your wings.
From the Golden Horn and the hills of Vladivostok to the lights of Seoul and Incheon, this route will connect the Russian Far East and Korea through one busy international corridor.
During the four-hour event, pilots can expect full ATC coverage on both sides, intensive international traffic, busy frequencies, and challenging departure and arrival procedures.

A flight participates when a detected departure or arrival is recorded at one of the event airports inside the inclusive event window shown above. Detected movements use stable takeoff and landing transitions and are assigned only to a nearby airport. Headline departure and arrival figures count movements, while flights and pilots are counted uniquely. A flight that departs near the end of the window and lands afterwards counts as a departure only, because its arrival happened outside the window.
